Petra Conference of
Nobel Laureates opens June 17
The fourth Petra Conference of Nobel Laureates will open on June 17 to address
regional socio-economic, scientific and cultural challenges. Participants will
discuss mechanisms to activate a $10 million fund that was launched in 2007 to
support scientific research and promote scientific cooperation in the region,
according to a statement released by the conference organisers. The conference
seeks to benefit from Nobel Prize winners and their experiences to serve
humanity and the community at various levels. Participants at the event, which
will run through June 19, will come up with practical solutions and ideas to
help realise sustainable development, as well as peace and security in the
region.
