Jordan Information
Bureau to facilitate American journalists’ press visit
AMMAN (JT) - In commemoration of 60 years of relations between the Kingdom and
the US, the Jordan Information Bureau, the public affairs arm of the embassy of
Jordan in Washington, announced that it will organise a press trip for ten young
American journalists. The young journalists, who are affiliated with a number of
publications across the US, will be familiarised with Jordan's role at the
domestic, regional and international levels with a focus on US-Jordan relations.
The trip includes political, economic, touristic and cultural components. At the
domestic level, the trip aims to underline Jordan’s vision for the future by
highlighting its proactive political, economic and social reform agendas.
Commenting on the initiative, HRH Prince Zeid Raad, Jordan’s ambassador to the
US, said that such press trips are a “valuable tool for journalists to enhance
their understanding of Jordan, its politics, culture, people and important
regional role”.
