Majali meets Iraqi parliamentary delegation

Amman, June 7 (Petra)--Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Abdul Hadi Majali discussed with an Iraqi delegation representing the Sadr Movement in the Iraqi Lower House of Parliament , means of boosting Jordanian-Iraqi ties, ,mainly in parliamentary affairs.

Majali said the Lower House was willing to cooperate with its Iraqi counterpart, adding His Majesty King II was keen on Iraq's unity, security and stability.

"Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty is making efforts at all levels to enable the Iraqis to overcome their plight and build their national institutions," he added.

He said that His Majesty was seriously working to ensure unity among Sunnis and Shiites, noting the Amman message which represents moderation and tolerance, came to find one reference for all Muslims around the world.

Members of the delegation stressed Iraq's keenness to maintain solid relations with Jordan in all fields.
