Dahabi meets with
Friends of Jordan Caucus
AMMAN (Petra) –– Prime Minister Nader Dahabi on Monday discussed with a
delegation from the Friends of Jordan Caucus in the US, political and economic
developments in the region. Discussions also covered efforts to resolve the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of a two-state solution and within a
regional context. The premier reiterated Jordan’s call for establishing an
independent and viable Palestinian state and the importance of stopage of
settlement building. Dahabi commended the additional $150 million American grant
for Jordan. Also Monday, Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali discussed with
the US delegation regional developments and efforts to bring about peace in the
region. The US delegation highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve peace and
stability. Also yesterday, the delegation visited Jerash refugee camp and was
briefed on services the government and UNRWA offer in the camp.
