US delegation looks into
services of JRF's Karmeh Center
Amman, July 2 (Petra)--A US congressional aides delegation currently on a visit
to the Kingdom on Thursday called at the Jordan River Foundation's Karmeh Center
in Al Nathif neighborhood in Amman to look into services and programs designed
to empower local communities.
Director General of the JRF Valentina Qussisiya reviewed efforts exerted by the
foundation under the directives of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah to
achieve comprehensive development in all parts of the Kingdom through specifying
needs and then establishing developmental projects that contribute to improving
citizens' standards of living.
She said the project aims at empowering individuals through creating job
opportunities to improve standards of living, adding the project was established
in the heavily populated area of Jabal Al Nathif which has high percentage of
unemployment.
The delegation hailed services, projects and developmental programs implemented
by the JRF, which aim at developing the community and improve the quality of
life of citizens.
