15-truck aid convoy
crosses King Hussein Bridge en route to Gaza
KING HUSSEIN BRIDGE (Petra) - A 15-truck aid convoy crossed the King Hussein
Bridge Wednesday on its way to the Gaza Strip. The convoy, which was dispatched
by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in cooperation with UNRWA, is
carrying 246 tonnes of humanitarian relief, including medical supplies, flour
and electric generators. A total of three ambulances were also sent along with
the convoy. A total of 315 relief convoys have left the Kingdom for Gaza since
the end of the January 2009 Israeli offensive on the coastal strip.
