Revenues of Jordan's exports
to Iraq rise by 22%
Amman, Aug. 12 (Petra)--Revenues of Jordan's exports to Iraqi rose by 22.5
percent in the 6 months of this year, according to official figures.
The figures showed that the Kingdom's exports to its neighbouring country stood
at JD318.8 million during January-June this year compared to JD260.1 million in
the same period of last year.
Iraq absorbed fifth of Jordan's exports to become Jordan's main trade partner
among 100 countries.
Iraq also accounted for one third of Jordan's exports to countries of the
Greater Arab Free Trade Zone.
Jordan's exports to Iraq consist mainly of vegetables, machinery and transport
equipment.
