Kingdom condemns Baghdad
bombings
AMMAN (JT) –– Jordan on Tuesday denounced the terrorist bombings that occurred
yesterday in Baghdad and claimed the lives of scores of Iraqi civilians.
In a cable sent yesterday to Iraq’s President Jalal Talabani, His Majesty King
Abdullah stressed Jordan’s support for Iraq in confronting all forms of
terrorism.
The King also extended his deepest sympathies and condolences to the Iraqi
president and the victims’ families.
Also yesterday, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and
Government Spokesperson Nabil Sharif reiterated Jordan’s denouncement of all
forms of terrorism, its complete rejection of targeting innocent civilians and
its support for the Iraqi people and their country's security and stability.
