Meeting for Peace

His Majesty King Abdullah meets with a delegation from the S. Daniel Abraham Centre for Middle East Peace on Tuesday. During the meeting, the King highlighted endeavors taken to overcome obstacles to resuming the peace process, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The King also underlined the important role of the US in relaunching serious and effective Israeli-Palestinian negotiations to achieve comprehensive peace guaranteeing an independent Palestinian state, Petra added. Established in 1989, the centre, a private, nonprofit, non-partisan US organization, supports the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative and works to reach peace in the Middle East. Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi and the King’s Adviser Ayman Safadi were also present at the meeting, Petra reported.
