Upcoming parliamentary elections to see greater
participation - Kreishan
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Tawfiq Kreishan on Tuesday met with
the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Jordan Country Director Jacinta
Barrins and an accompanying delegation. Kreishan said the government is keen to
hold parliamentary elections that guarantee greater participation for women and
youths. He called on the UNDP to support awareness programmes that seek to
acquaint new MPs with the experiences of developed countries, particularly in
the fields of legislation and monitoring.
