Jordan to take part in
conference of refugee-hosting countries
Jordan will take part in the 84th session of the conference of countries hosting
Palestinian refugees, which will commence at the Arab League headquarters in
Cairo on Sunday. The Kingdom’s delegation will be headed by Director of the
Department of Palestinian Affairs Wajih Azaizeh. Ambassador Mohammad Sbeih,
assistant secretary general for Palestinian affairs at the Arab League, said the
conference will cover issues related to Palestinian refugees that will be
presented to the Arab foreign ministers council which will convene on September
16. He noted that the conference will also focus on issues related to the Holy
City of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements and UNRWA. Participating countries are
Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Palestine in addition to the Arab League.
