Amman - His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone
call from U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today
during which the King and the new Secretary discussed
developments in the Middle East; with a focus on efforts
to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis
of a two-state solution.
His Majesty congratulated Secretary Clinton for her
confirmation yesterday and reiterated that he looks
forward to working with the new U.S. administration to
launch serious and effective peace negotiations to
resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of
a two-state solution, which His Majesty believes is the
only way to ensure security and stability in the region.
