Montreal-Amman: 2 movies, 2 meals and you are there!

Jordan Tourism Board North American Teams Up with Royal Jordanian Airlines to Promote New Montreal-Amman Non-Stop Flights

MONTREAL, (May 15, 2007) – Jordan Tourism Board North America’s (JTBNA) Canada office is partnering with Royal Jordanian Airlines to promote and market its new non-stop Montreal to Amman service. This twice-weekly service will begin on May 25, two years after JTBNA began building an awareness of Jordan tourism in the Canadian market.

“We have been working closely with Canadian tour operators, retail travel agents, museums, non-profit organizations, and media to increase awareness of our destination,” said Malia Asfour, JTBNA director. “Already, we have seen a consistent increase in visitors from Canada, so we are thrilled that Royal Jordanian’s new Montreal-Amman service will provide another gateway option for Canadians interested in experiencing the many wonders of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.”

The new service from Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport will provide the fastest, most convenient air travel from Montreal to the heart of the Middle East. Connecting flights on Royal Jordanian from Amman are scheduled to some 20 other cities across the Middle East and cities in the Far East.

Montreal is the fourth North American gateway for Royal Jordanian. Departures from Montreal are set for 12 noon, with early morning arrivals in Amman the next day. Flights from Amman are Mondays and Fridays with a same day 7AM arrival in Montreal.

“With this new service, we are positioned to fulfill the maturing demand for our destination from the Canadian market,” said Nabil Bataineh, Managing Director of North America.

In a joint effort to help promote this new exciting service in Canada, Royal Jordanian Airlines has provided a limited number of seats on the inaugural flight from Montreal to Jordan for selected travel media and Canadian tour operators working with JTBNA to develop new business. This latest joint project comes on the heels of other team efforts by Royal Jordanian and JTBNA, including the JTBNA Canadian Road Shows and travel trade related events.

Schedules, details and fares can be provided for tour operators and travel agents online at www.rj.com, or call Royal Jordanian directly from across Canada at 1-800-363-0711.
