Petra and Wadi Rum featured in the new Transformers movie

DESERT INVASION: 'Transformers 2' spent four days shooting in Jordan's picturesque Wadi Rum region.

The new release, 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' by director Michael Bay was filmed in part in Wadi Rum and Petra, one of the new Seven Wonders. Working closely with His Royal Highness Prince Ali and the Royal Film Commission, and with the help of the Jordanian Air Force, Bay was able to shoot atop a mountain in Petra where no one has ever filmed before. "The entire experience of being in Jordan, from our scouts months ago to our recently completed shoot, has been a total creative and production success," says Bay.
