Labor and Trade: the Jordan- US Free Trade Experience

Minister Shbaikat will be introducing a new comprehensive report on Jordan's progress in labor reform. Eight years after the ratification of the U.S. - Jordan Free Trade Agreement, this event provides a unique opportunity to hear about Jordan's comprehensive labor reform and compliance program, that includes the strengthening of Jordan's Ministry of Labor and related labor institutions, and the implementation of the ILO's Better Work Program in Jordan - the first country after Cambodia to implement such an initiative.
