Her Excellency Dina Kawar was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the United States of America in June 2016.

The Consulate
The Consulate at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington D.C. offers a range of services for Jordanians and foreign nationals. We aim to help with citizen registration, nationality and passport-related matters, emergency travel documents, family and identification documents, power of attorney, legalization, change of status, as well as visa applications.

Jordan Information Bureau (JIB)
The Information Bureau is the public diplomacy arm of the Embassy of Jordan. Its main objective is to promote Jordan’s interests and to keep U.S. citizens informed about Jordan’s history, politics, and culture. The bureau works closely with all media outlets in the U.S. to provide authoritative and accurate information on Jordan government efforts and policy initiatives. In addition, JIB monitors and reports U.S. media opinion on issues of interest to the Jordanian government and its people.
JIB responds to questions regarding Jordanian policy, primarily domestic, Jordan-US relations and Middle East related issues in an effort to provide in-depth analysis, accuracy and balanced reporting on Jordan. JIB also manages the Embassy’s social media platforms and online outreach efforts.

Economic and Commerce Bureau (ECB)
The ECB is the economic department of the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington, D.C. The ECB aims to foster and strengthen Jordan–U.S. economic relations, bilateral trade and business opportunities. Through promoting and facilitating Jordanian exports to the U.S. as well as U.S. investments in various sectors of the Jordanian economy, the ECB commits to its vision by establishing a high economic profile for Jordan, renowned for its globally competitive sectors and world-class business climate.

Jordan Tourism Board (JTB)
The JTB was officially launched in March 1998 as an independent, public – private sector partnership committed to utilize marketing strategies to brand, position and promote the Jordan tourism product as the destination of choice in the international markets. The adopted strategies are tuned to reflect the true image of the Jordan tourism product, being a cultural, natural, religious, adventurous, leisure and MICE destination.

The Military Attache's Office
Major General Dr. Omar Al Khaldi was appointed Military Attache to the Embassy in Washington, D.C. As a high ranking military officer, Major General Al Khaldi advises on military matters and acts as a liaison for the Embassy of Jordan.
