Visa Information

  • U.S. Citizens may obtain a Jordanian visa upon arrival at the airport in Jordan or at the Embassy.

    To apply for a visa through the Embassy 
        • Visa application form must be filled out entirely; 
        • A passport valid for at least (6) months from the expected date of arrival;
        • The original passport must have a full blank page to accommodate the visa stamp;
        • One recent photo (2X2) Inch;
        • Send the visa application along with the required documentation to:

        • Visa processing at the embassy takes approximately (5) business days.

     
  • Jordan Pass

    Tourists (Group or Individuals) who have a valid “Jordan Pass ticket" are exempt of entry visa fees. The Jordan Pass ticket grants visitors access to over 40 of Jordan’s top and most beautiful tourist attraction sites.

     
  • Other nationalities:

    • Citizens of Canada, Mexico, and the European Union can obtain a Jordanian visa upon arrival at the airport in Jordan or at  the Embassy. To apply for a visa through the Embassy, please fill out the Visa application form in its entirety and send it along with the required documentation to the embassy address.
    • U.S. Permanent residents (green card holders) of other nationalities can apply for an E-visa through the Ministry of Interior. The following link contains the full list of countries that need prior approval.
       

  • Prior approval is required for:

    A holder of a U.S. travel document or any other type of re-entry travel documents. You can apply for a visa online through the Ministry of Interior website:  E-Applications for Visa. The user manual is available in both English & Arabic.

     
  • To apply for prior approval:

    • Once an account is created, applicants may follow up online to check on the status of their Visa applications;

    • Online E-visa processing at the Ministry of Interior takes at least (2) weeks;

    • Additional information may be requested by the Ministry of Interior during the processing stage.

       

  • After E-visa approval: 

    Applicants who receive E- visa approval and would like to obtain the visa stamp from the embassy can provide the following: 
    • The electronic application number and visa approval;

    • Original passport or Travel Document;

    • The visa fee ($60), which is valid for (1) month from the date of issue;

    • Visa processing at the embassy takes approximately (5) business days after receipt of the passport.
